I’m Cy Sorensen, the watercolor artist behind Minimal Palette—a studio dedicated to exploring the quiet strength of simplicity. My work combines fluid brushwork, restrained color, and emotional nuance to create portraits, landscapes, and compositions that feel intimate, timeless, and contemplative.
Drawing inspiration from human connection, the natural world, and the subtle beauty of everyday motion, I approach watercolor as both a technical medium and an emotional language. Each painting emphasizes balance—between precision and looseness, detail and negative space, silence and expression.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, I offer both original works and custom commissions. My current series, Hidden Worlds, explores overlooked ecosystems through soft realism and symbolic stillness.
